On August 10, 2026, folks in Colombia experienced one of the worst earthquakes in years. Cities and towns in western Colombia where my family is from and where a significant portion of them still reside.
100% of proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to Manos Visibles. They are one of the organizations who immediately activated their mutual aid network, providing resources to affected communities particularly those outside of larger cities where the already weak infrastructure is either completely gone or in critical condition. This includes food, water, mental health support and infrastructure repair and recovery. Historically, Manos Visibles’ mission has been driven by equity and helping communities already facing a gap in resources due to ethnic, class and geographic divisions. Financial aid is the most direct and flexible way to address the most immediate needs of the community.
