In the series Over the Garden Wall the two main characters come across a town called Pottsfield seemingly occupied with pumpkin people. They soon learn things are not what they seemed.
The town’s name, Pottsfield, comes from the term “potters field”. This is the final resting place for those who cannot afford personal burial places or those who are unclaimed. The folks in Pottsfield are spirits who wearing the crops that grow out of their burial sites and dance around to celebrate the harvest season.
